About the Area Walks

Unlike many other Ramblers Areas, Manchester and High Peak itself organises a full led walks programme covering Greater Manchester and beyond.

• Sunday Walks are generally of a moderate grade but some can be moderate to strenuous, or strenuous.
• Wednesday Walks are of a moderate grade and generally do not exceed 10 miles.
• Short Walks take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays and will not exceed five miles in length.

The walks make use of public transport connections and will not take place if, for any reason, the intended transport is cancelled.

Although intended for members, non-members are welcome to attend two or three walks on a try-out basis.
