Public Transport: 10.17 train Piccadilly. Note: station change from printed programme.

Suggested Ticket: Day Return to Greenfield.

Meeting Point(s): There are 3 meeting-point options: (1) On the platform of the departing train at Piccadilly Station, (2) On the train, (3) At Greenfield Station. The walk will start from Greenfield Station straight after the arrival of the train.

Route: From Greenfield Station there is a gradual climb on Oldham Way to Chew Valley, then round Dovestone Reservoir and back to Greenfield Station. Expected time back at Greenfield Station - no later than 4.30 pm.

New! Saddleworth Rambler Bus Service

An hourly minibus service that runs from Greenfield Station to Denshaw via Uppermill, Diggle, Dobcross and Delph and opens up this area to walkers who prefer to use public transport. The journey takes about 25 minutes end-to-end and is tied in with the train times. It can also be used to interchange with the 184 and 350 buses for people coming from Oldham or Ashton.
